A Drip Leg is also known as a "Sediment Trap." It is an extension on the metal gas line typically running to a gas burning appliance. The device is installed at the point that the gas has to make a 90 degree turn to reach the appliance. The main function of the device is to “trap” any sediment, dirt, or harmful particles that may be in the flow of the fuel. These particles would otherwise be free to flow into the appliance itself. A buildup of sediment in your fuel burning appliance is a fire hazard, and could reduce the life span of the appliance itself. These sediment traps are required by code on gas burning appliances such as water heaters, furnaces, gas fire places, boilers, etc.

• Kit consists of 1 each of the following: MFS12TE, MFS12CA,& MPN1202
• Black malleable iron fittings meet or exceed all specifications and all of our fittings undergo careful testing and quality inspections.
• Black, Schedule 40 fittings are approved for pressures up to 150 PSI.
• Threaded ends are standard National Pipe Threads.
• Material meeting with ASTMA A-197 standards and are approved by CSA, NFPA 54 & 58.
