Copper Outside Mount Chimney Cap for Multi-Flue with Basic Lid

The Copper Outside Mount Chimney Cap with Basic Lid is a proven, tried-and-tested chimney cap. A solid chimney cap that ensures the top & inside of your chimney stays dry. Made for easy installation, it features an outside mount design that will snugly fit over your chimney. Easily installs with silicone and masonry screws (included).

This cap is equipped with a 2" horizontal skirt that provides a ledge for the cap to be supported by the outside edge of the chimney. Features a 3" vertical skirt extending down each side of the chimney, allowing you to attach the cap to the sides of the chimney. The vertical side skirt has a drip edge to help divert rainwater from running straight down the chimney sides.

Moreover, the lid of the Copper Outside Mount Chimney Cap is removable with locking nuts. This allows you to easily access and clean the chimney flues. The copper cap has a 2" lid overhang from the 3/4" mesh screen.

Installation

With a 3" vertical skirt, you will be able to easily install your new Copper Outside Mount Chimney Cap on the exterior perimeter of the brick chimney. Add a bead of silicone on the inner skirt panel and simply slide the outside mount cap over the chimney.

Using a drill bit, pre-drill the pilot holes through the skirt panel and into the chimney. Secure the cap with masonry screws and silicone. Depending on cap size, we recommend adding 2-3 masonry screws evenly spaced along the sides of the cap. That usually works out to be 18 to 24 inches between masonry screws.

With the measurements you provide, we will fabricate the cap for a perfect fit. Removable lid for easy access, cleanings, and maintenance. Features a lid overhang of 2" on all sides of the mesh screen.

Measuring for Your Copper Outside Mount Chimney Cap

Measure your chimney to ensure a custom fit with our measuring tips. Provide your measurements and we will fabricate the copper chimney cap accordingly.

Most importantly, we recommend adding at least 1/4" extra allowance to the exact length and width measurements of the masonry chimney. Having this extra allowance will ensure a snug fit while also properly covering the outer bricks.

Screen height size is recommended to be at least 6" taller than the top of the flue tile. For example, if the tallest clay flue tile is 6" tall then we would like to see the screen height size at least 12" tall.
