The pot must be set in a bed of mortar on the masonry cap. To ensure maximum safety and proper draft, note the following essential rules:

1. Non-Impingement is Key: The pot's base must not restrict the inside area of your flue liner.

2. Verify Actual Dimensions: All flue liner sizes are NOMINAL. You must accurately measure your specific flue liner before ordering, as true dimensions vary widely. (Square liners are sized using outside dimensions; round liners use inside dimensions.)
