The Austen EX Clay Chimney Pot provides a durable, extra-tall topping for masonry chimneys, built by Superior Clay. This imposing, 50-inch high, 175-pound pot is available standard in natural clay or with an optional, permanent glass glaze in one of eight custom colors.

Critical Sizing & Installation Guidance

This pot must be secured in a bed of mortar on the masonry cap. To ensure safety and proper draft, follow these critical fit rules:

• No Impingement: The pot's base must not encroach upon the inside area of your existing flue liner.

• Accurate Measurement is Key: All listed flue liner sizes are NOMINAL and subject to manufacturer variation. You must accurately measure your specific flue liner before ordering. (Reminder: Square liners are nominally sized using outside dimensions; round liners use inside dimensions.)

• Security Recommendations: For superior anchoring against severe weather, we recommend drilling holes (1/4”–1/2” diameter) on opposite sides of the pot and securing it into the chimney structure with non-corrosive metal bars, supplementing the required minimum 2-inch mortar base.
