The Anchor Bonnet comes standard in a beautiful, natural clay finish. For a personalized touch and enhanced protection, choose from eight optional gloss glaze colors. This durable colored glass coating is permanently fired onto the clay, resulting in a stunning finish that is guaranteed not to fade or peel.

Installation Guidance: Ensuring a Proper Fit
These high-quality pots are designed to be set into a bed of mortar on the masonry chimney cap. Crucially, the base of the pot must not restrict the inner dimensions of the flue liner. While round bases may slightly overlap the corners of a square flue, this intrusion should not exceed 3/4 inch.
Always measure your flue liner accurately before ordering. Flue dimensions are NOMINAL and vary widely by manufacturer and age. Square flue liners are typically sized by their outside dimensions, while round flue liners are sized by their inside dimensions.
Anchoring recommendations: For added security in high-wind or seismic zones, we recommend drilling small holes (1/4”–1/2” diameter) on opposite sides of the pot and anchoring it into the chimney wall or grout with non-corrosive metal bars.
⚠️ Critical Safety Warning: Never install decorative chimney tops on any pre-engineered or prefabricated fireplace/chimney system (sometimes called zero-clearance fireplaces) without explicit written approval from the system's manufacturer. Improper installation with metal flues could result in fire and/or carbon monoxide buildup, leading to severe property damage or death.
