Prevent Fireplace Firebox Repairs
with a Heat Reflector

“Fireplace firebox repairs are expensive. You can avoid repairs by installing a heat reflector today. With the price of gas on the rise, why not maximize the efficiency from your gas log set?” -Jon Cerrito Jr., President, Chimney Cricket.

A heat reflector will maximize your gas and wood use on any fireplace.

In an unprotected fireplace heat is absorbed into the back wall of the fireplace, which causes the bricks to crack and the mortar that holds the chimney together to break down. This will lead to expensive fireplace firebox repairs.

By installing a heat reflector , the back wall of the fireplace will be exposed to 1/3 less heat. The extra heat is then radiated back into the room where it should be, and the damage to the fireplace firebox is significantly reduced and/or stopped. It is also great for protecting masonry fireplaces from heat damage and getting additional heat out of any open fireplace (up to 42% more heat!). With the fireplace firebox heating up and cooling down so often it becomes brittle; Factor in the effects of rain and you can realize the amount of repair that will have to take place.
